As part of the first 2026 call for applications for the 2027–2028–2029 doctoral cycle, 14 open PhD projects are available across PSL University institutions.

5 PhD positions at Ecole Normale Supérieure - PSL (ENS)

➡️ RubisCO.2: Engineering new RubisCOs with increased CO2 catalytic activity.
➡️ Micado: Microdroplet catalysis of CO2-amine C-N bond formation, from machine learning-based simulations to predictive control.
➡️ Ultra-high resolution proton NMR at no cost. Applications to the investigation of dynamics and interactions in solvate ionic liquids.

➡️ NWARPS : Nucleation, Wetting, Adhesion, and Rheology of Polymeric Surfaces.

2 PhD position at Ecole Normale Supérieure de Chimie Paris - PSL (ENSCP)

➡️ SOFTMAT4MET: Functional Soft Matter for Sustainable and Selective Extraction of Critical Metals.
➡️ POAT-CO2-V: Plasma-driven Oxygen Atom Transfer for CO₂ Valorisation.

7 PhD position at Ecole Supérieure de Physique et de Chimie Industrielles de la ville de Paris - PSL (ESPCI)

➡️ Biopolymer coating on hair substrates.
➡️ AI-assisted high-pressure microfluidics for CO2 capture, transport and utilization.
➡️ WISELY: New Chemistries for the Design of Recyclable Polymers.
➡️ STREAM: Seawater Treatment for CO2 Removal via Electrochemical Microelectrode Arrays.
➡️ CAPTURE: Development of Smart Materials for Reversible Low-Energy CO2 Capture.
➡️ ROOTSTOCK: Plant root development affected by soil mechanical stresses.
➡️ BUBBLE-AFM: Molecular processes at electrode/electrolyte interfaces during water electrolysis: from solvent restructuring to nanobubble nucleation"

Candidates may apply to up to five PhD projects before the application deadline of 31 October 2026. Applications should be ranked in order of preference.
